Invisible Infrastructure, Visible Value: From Leaks to Leadership

KT Net Zero Conference

Yesterday, our Executive Chairman, Noam Komy, had the privilege of speaking at the KT Net Zero Conference in Abu Dhabi, where Miya proudly supported a critical dialogue on sustainability and climate leadership.

In the session, “Invisible Infrastructure, Visible Value – From Leaks to Leadership,” Noam highlighted a fundamental truth: Net Zero cannot be achieved without addressing water losses.

Water systems are often the largest electricity consumers in cities. Every cubic meter lost through leaks is wasted energy, wasted capital, and unnecessary carbon emissions.

At Miya, we have delivered transformational results across the globe — in Europe, the Caribbean, Latin America, Africa, and the Middle East. From driving efficiency in urban utilities to implementing large-scale national programs, our projects consistently prove that reducing water losses delivers triple wins: financial returns, carbon reduction, and resilience for communities.

And while our impact has been global, Miya’s future is firmly rooted in the UAE. The country’s ambitious Net Zero vision and long-term sustainability goals align directly with our mission. We are committed to contributing our expertise and forging partnerships that make water efficiency a cornerstone of the UAE’s climate leadership.

Thank you to Khaleej Times and the organizers for the opportunity to share this message.
